Miklos has an immediate need for an experienced Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will have primary responsibility for planning and overseeing a cadre of up to 30 personnel developing five systems. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to work cohesively with several other teams, collaborate across team lines, coordinate meetings/peer reviews, and actively manage the day to day activities of the team. In addition, they will be expected to work cohesively with the team, provide input to the overall schedule, collaborate across team lines, compile control gates using current templates, and aggregate information in a cohesive manner for presentation to the Staff PM and senior leadership. The Program Manager will be expected to work closely with the Staff PM and Division Managers to implement strategic direction, and contribute to long-term plans.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to Sponsor
  • Effectively apply the Sponsor's methodology and enforce project standards
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
  • Schedule meetings and prepare meeting minutes
  • Motivate the teams to work together
  • Mitigate team conflict and communication problems

 

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience with...

  • Project management techniques and tools as well as direct work experience in a project management capacity to include the PM Framework and Agile software development practices
  • Exhibiting problem solving skills
  • PM tools such as Primavera, MS Project and Visio
  • The software development methodology and client/server architecturesDesired Skills:
  •  
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master Certification
  • Demonstrated experience with...
  • Full lifecycle software development methodologies to include Waterfall, Agile and Iterative
  • Security requirements as they relate to software development
  • IT management processes, procedures and tools
  • Exhibiting oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate relevant project information both horizontally and vertically
  • Working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Leading a team to meet the customer's goals
